Sonny Rollins is an American jazz tenor saxophonist and composer who is widely recognized as one of the most important and influential jazz musicians of all time. He started playing the saxophone at a young age and quickly gained fame as a musician in the early 1950s. He is known for his creative and explosive playing style, which is heavily influenced by Caribbean rhythms, and has released over sixty albums as a leader.
