Australian saxophonists Jabra Latham and Benjamin Price have been working together for a number of years, collaborating in numerous small and large ensembles, including the Island Saxophone Quartet, 22SQ Saxophone Quartet and the Hobart Saxophone Orchestra. They began performing as a duo in early 2010 and since then they have Released an EP of Australian composer Russell Gilmour’s Eleven Duos for Soprano Saxophone, performed at a reception for the Governor of Tasmania, premiered works by Russell Gilmour and Simon Reade, presented at the Bahai Centre for Learning, Hobart, The Australian Clarinet & Saxophone Festival, Runnymede House, Government House Tasmania and performed live on ABC Radio. Latham and Price have led and presented masterclasses together. The duo expects to perform a new concerto work by Russell Gilmour in 2012.
