Engaged in participating in music of our time, the French saxophonist Alexandre Souillart has worked with numerous contemporary composers. He has performed all over the world (France, Greece, United Kingdom, Germany, Djibouti, Peru, USA, Japan, Taiwan an Thailand). He performed as a soloist in Tomasi’s Concerto at the Cité de la Musique in Paris in 2010.
In addition, Mr. Souillart is an active chamber musician, notably in the duo Atyopsis which he founded with the pianist Matthieu Acar. Alexandre Souillart is also a member of the Osmose Saxophone Quartet, engaged in performances of new music as well as pedagogical projects.
Alexandre Souillart studied saxophone, chamber music, improvised music and pedagogy at the Paris Conservatoire. He was awarded a Master and a 3rd cycle Diploma in Claude Delangle’s class.
National and international winner of numerous prizes both as a soloist and chamber musician (2010, Adolphe Sax Competition in Dinant, Belgium: 2011, Societa Umaniteria International Competition in Milano, Italy: 2009, Avant- Scènes Competition in Paris, France).
Alexandre Souillart teaches in the Paris Region, and also teaches at the Taiwan Saxophone Summer Camp. He has recently been invited to take masterclasses in Asia and South America.
