Repairman’s Overview: 1928 Conn F Mezzo-soprano Saxophone

Saxophone repairman Matt Stohrer of speaks in hushed and reverential tones about a rare and unusual saxophone, the ill-fated Conn Mezzo-soprano in the key of F.

Slightly smaller than an alto and speaking one whole tone higher, the F Mezzo-soprano was introduced just before the start of the Great Depression and never really caught on, though it is a beautifully made and beautifully playing saxophone.
