Prelude in D minor – saxophone quartet music

‘Prelude in D minor’ by composed by Anatoly Lyadov arranged for saxophone quartet by Nigel Wood. Published by Saxtet Publications.
Originally a melancholy piano miniature which is typical of the Lyadov’s modest output. It presents no great technical difficulties, but some poetic solo and ensemble playing is necessary to fully realise this brief piece.
Played by members of The National Saxophone Choir.

Soprano – Sally MacTaggart
Alto – Tom Bruton
Tenor – Dominic Lawson
Baritone – Claire Tomsett
