My First Jazz Recording – Duke Ellington’s Version of the Nutcracker Suite

When my parents purchased their first hi-fi in the early 60s, they picked up two initial recordings, the soundtrack of the Broadway show, My Fair Lady, and Duke Ellington’s version of the Nutcracker Suite. A holiday favorite, I knew the Nutcracker Suite, so it was a great starting point for my Jazz education.
