Bent Nose Pliers

These simple pliers are likely to be your first grab when assembling and disassembling. The curved, nearly 90° nose makes them a natural choice for pulling rods and screws because the curve allows you to grab the rod with your palm facing down, which is more comfortable and ergonomic. These also work well for bending a key while it is still on the instrument and bending a spring from underneath while the key is still installed. Bent Nose Pliers come with 6 inches of tubing which can be placed on the bent tips of the pliers to reduce marring. These affordable pliers are also great candidates for modifications and customizations, where you can file out a notch in the plier jaws to get into hard to reach places or for special jobs.
