All Saxophonists Will Be Shot on Sight – A Play by Bret Primack

I wrote this play in 1992, for my students at the New School Jazz Program, where I taught a class called, Acting for Musicians. This is a crummy video recording of the only performance on May 5, 1992. This play is about future society where only one song is allowed to be played. Accordingly, all beboppers are sent to a re-education camp, where they are taught the song, and how to play it. Or else.
