The Missouri Saxophone Quartet was formed in 2009 and is devoted to exploring and promoting new music, especially that of Missouri composers. The group has inspired several commissions and has presented them at venues such as the North American Saxophone Alliance’s Biennial Conference, the United States Navy Band’s International Saxophone Symposium, and the Odyssey Chamber Music Series of Columbia, Missouri. The quartet’s performance at the World Saxophone Congress marks the group’s international debut. Leo Saguiguit is Assistant Professor of Saxophone at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Adrianne Honnold teaches at Washington University in St. Louis, University of Missouri-St. Louis, and St. Louis Community College. Joel Vanderheyden is Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Jazz at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri. Matt Kendrick is a freelance musician, private instructor, and Certified Public Accountant in Kansas City, Missouri.
