Jeffrey Loeffert — Saxophone; Mary Fukushima — Flute
Jeffrey Loeffert is the Assistant Professor of Saxophone at Oklahoma State University. Loeffert graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northwestern University with a BM double major in Saxophone Performance and Jazz Studies. A Beebe Scholar, Loeffert studied in Paris at the CRR — Cergy-Pontoise where he received the Medialle d’Or Unanimité and the CRR — Boulogne-Billancourt where he received the diploma Cycle d’Orientation Professionnel. Loeffert completed graduate studies at Michigan State University as the recipient of a University Distinguished Fellowship. He received a MM degree in Performance, a MM degree in Music Theory Pedagogy, and a DMA degree in Performance from MSU.
Mary Fukushima has established herself as a leading performer of contemporary music. Her 2006 Carnegie Hall Debut was praised as a “powerhouse performance” by critics from New York Concert Review. Mary also serves as an executive faculty member for the Sessions for New Music in Cortona, Italy during the summer months. Mary is currently Lecturer of Flute at Pittsburg State University (Kansas). She holds degrees from the University of Kansas (DMA), Manhattan School of Music (MM), and Long Island University (BFA). Her major teachers include David Fedele, Linda Chesis, Bradley Garner, Sheridon Stokes, and David Shostac.
