Songe de Coppélius, Op. 80, No. 11 – Schmitt

Nouvelle Lumière – Tom Buchanan (Piano) and Pri Victor (Saxophone) – perform Florent Schmitt’s ‘Songe de Coppélius’ in their début concert, at Christ Church South Yarra, on 26 November 2010.

The repertoire that Nouvelle Lumière performs comes from a wide spectrum of compositional schools and traditions, from the music of the Baroque, to the music of the French Impressionists, to more contemporary works, and everything in between. In their performance of all of these works, Nouvelle Lumière endeavour to present a musical coalescence which incorporates conventional elements of classical performance, with the unique and dynamic character that this instrumental partnership offers.
