The Scottish Sax Academy presents –
Music on Mull Saxophone Course 9th – 12th September 2014
Times – 9.30 – 4.30pm daily. Cost – £180 per person
Minimum Grade 2/3 – Maximum Grade 6/7
Enjoy 4 days of saxophone shenanigans in the beautiful An Tobar Arts Centre in picturesque Tobermory, Mull!
The course will include classes on technique, tone, improvisation but most of all getting together to play with like-minded others and make a joyful noise. Led by D’Addario Woodwinds Artist, Sue McKenzie (Delphian Records, Scottish Saxophone Ensemble, Salsa Celtica), the other course tutor will be Mike Brogan (Assistant Director, World Saxophone Congress 2012, Scottish Saxophone Ensemble, Transgressive North).
Music will be provided (including some specially written new works!) focusing on duo, trio, quartet and ensemble playing and the course numbers will be capped at a maximum of 16 people so book your place soon!
D’Addario Woodwinds will be providing reeds for people to try and the Wind Section in Edinburgh will be providing mouthpieces to trial. There will also be a 5% discount on all food bought in the cafe.
The course fee does not include accommodation but Tobermory has a fantastic range of hotels, B and B’s and hostels to suit all budgets.
