BIOGRAFÍA O NOTAS AL PROGRAMA
Rhea Quartet is a saxophone quartet made up of four young musicians committed to performance as a means of dialogue. The maturity of our proposals, spontaneity, innovation and rigor are the aspects most valued by our public and the specialized press.
Formed by different musical personalities, we configure an identity with its own language where we invite the listener to join as the fifth element in the musical discourse.
We are committed to contributing to the dissemination of culture from chamber music, in all its variety and styles, and we work hand in hand with newly created music composers.
We have been awarded nationally and internationally, highlighting our awards in Bydgoszcz Chamber Music Competition, Permanent Competition of Musical Youths of Spain, ‘Pedro Bote’ Contest, ‘Antón García Abril’ Contest or ‘Jacobo Soto Carmona’ Contest.
Our solid training supports us, with the advice of Cuarteto Quiroga, Cuarteto Casals, Kuss Quartet, Heime Müller, Márta Gulyás, Rita Wagner, Kennedy Moretti, Pedro Pablo Cámara, Noelia Rodiles, André Cebrián and Ona Cardona, among others.
We combine our concert work with an active pedagogical commitment, being teachers in renowned music education centers.
Since 2019 we have been ambassadors for the Selmer Paris and Vandoren France brands.
