To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the Clarinet & Saxophone Society of Great Britain is hosting a day of celebrations on Sunday 30 October 2016 at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. We hope that this day will be an inspirational and enjoyable event for children, students, adults, amateurs, enthusiasts and professional players alike.

CASSGB is very grateful to a range of guest artists and sponsors for helping make this event possible. All event details and how to book are below. We look forward to seeing you in October!

Trade exhibitions with all the latest instruments, accessories and publications will be present throughout the day. There will be trade presentations, masterclasses for clarinet and saxophone students, and also a special workshop on woodwind doubling by West End theatre musician Paul Saunders. At the start of the day there will be an opportunity for participants to play in a massed clarinet and saxophone choir.

Two competitions will also feature at the event. The finals of the CASSGB Under-19 Clarinet Competition will be open for all to attend, and the winning entry of the CASS Saxophone Composition Competition will be performed.

The event will run from 9.30 am until 5.30 pm with an evening Gala Concert starting at 6.30 pm. This will feature artists who have taken part in the day, as well as appearances by clarinettists Nancy Braithwaite (Netherlands) and David Campbell, recently retired as Artistic Director of CASSGB.
