FISP – Internation Festival of Saxophone in Palmela

After nearly 9 years since the first edition, FISP – Internation Festival of Saxophone in Palmela , continues to assert itself as a unique initiative in artistic and pedagogical landscape in Portugal and across borders, a landmark for saxophone lovers and music

Offering very intense and varied cultural program: about 20 concerts and shows (free entry), Masterclasses, Workshops, Seminars, Conferences, International Saxophone Competition “Vitor Santos,” FISP is assumed as a cultural project of public service, thereby contributing to raising the artistic and pedagogical level of our country, helping to train more and better listeners, through sharing of experiences and knowledge among some of the most prestigious names in the national and international saxophone, teachers, students and the public .

The educational level has also left an important mark in teaching Saxophone in Portugal, some of those participating in masterclasses and winners of the International Competition for Saxophone “Vitor Santos” claim themselves today as pioneers of a new generation of saxophone in Portugal, taking a noticeable place artistically and pedagogically.
