The group was born in 2007 when we were both students at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, offering concerts among which the one performed at the National Auditorium or the live recordings for Euroradio and Radio Clásica stand out. He has obtained the Contemporary Music Group Awards and the Cultural Management Liceo Award by the Miguel Ángel Colmenero Foundation (2009), Second Prize in the II Cofrentes Chamber Music Competition (2017) and First Prize in the Antón García Abril Chamber Competition (2017 ), allowing them to perform during 2018, with public and critical success, at the VII Festival of Classical Music of Huéscar, the International Forum of High Musical Performance of Southern Europe and the International Festival of Music and Dance of Granada (FEX) .
In 2019 they published their first CD addressing the original Sonatas for saxophone and piano by Creston, Denisov, Hindemith, Creston and Albright, as well as the first recording in reduction of saxophone and piano of the concert Le Chant des Ténèbres by Thierry Escaich. The repertoire presented in this record project summarizes the various influences that 20th century music has had on classical writing, covering a wide range of styles, interpretive models and musical challenges, from Hindemith’s neoclassical sobriety to Escaich’s heartbreaking despair. ; likewise, the works allow them to show their own expressiveness and identity.
