Amigo Saxophone Quartet in collaboration with the College of Music, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University brings to you the Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy 2016.
For five full days on July 31-August 4, 2016, participants will be able to work closely with the faculty in a variety of settings including lessons, lectures, master classes, and ensembles.
Faculty for APSA 2016 includes Joshua Hyde (Australia), Asagi Ito (Japan), Pieter Pellens (Belgium), Wong Tak Chiu (Hong Kong), Leslie Wong (NAFA, Singapore), Kenny Tsai (TNUA, Taiwan), Tae Young Kim (Seoul National University, Korea), Stephen Page (University of Texas-Austin, U.S.A.), Nathan Bogert (Ball State University, U.S.A.), David Pope (James Madison University, U.S.A.) and Passakorn Morasilpin (Thailand).

Participants should plan to arrive in Thailand on the 30th of July for the Academy as we are expected to start the Academy early in the day of 31st. Daily program will be starting from 9am-9pm and check-out of the hotel on August 5th.
Please note that there is a Opening dinner at 7pm of the 30th of July for all international participants and Closing dinner after the final concert at 7pm. Please kindly make your travel plans to fit into the schedule.

Each student will be assigned to a primary teacher and will be taking two lessons with that primary teacher. You will also be assigned to two other teachers and will have one lesson with each teacher. In summary , each student will be entitled to 4 lessons (45 minutes each) by 3 teachers.
The student will also be able to sign up to perform in a master-class setting for the other teachers they are interested in studying with.
You are encouraged to bring your own pianist, but if this is not possible, a pianist will be assigned to you.
There will also be quartet and ensemble lessons assigned. Pre-formed quartets are encouraged to sign up as a group. If there is no indication of signing up as a pre-formed quartet, students will be assigned to a quartet by the instructor before the start of the camp.
Each student will be assigned to a primary teacher and will be taking two lessons with that primary teacher. You will also be assigned to another teacher with whom he will have another lessons. In summary , each student will be entitled to 3 lessons (45 minutes each) by 2 teachers.
There will be two improvisation classes each day in which all jazz students are required to attend and jam session will be organized for participants.
Students are also encouraged to observe other teachers’ lessons as much as possible.
Cost of the program:
Please note that all transaction are in Thai Baht and all bank charges should be paid by the applicants.
Please be aware that the payment is only for the course fee, accommodations, lunch for the whole duration of the academy and dinner for all nights EXCEPT the 2 nights off. Flights, transport and insurance and other expenditures are all on the applicant’s own expenses.
Fee only: 18000 baht
Fee + Twin-sharing room: 22500 baht
Fee + Single room: 26,750 baht

Thai and International Observers:
You are welcomed to attend to all concerts and observe private lessons/master-classes throughout the academy. All admission of the above mentioned is inclusive except for meals for Thai observers. For international observers, the charge for observation is 4000 Thai Baht and you have the option of choosing either staying at the official hotel and with a meal plan or to plan your own itinerary. Please note that registration is required, do fill in the form on observer registration to reserve your seat.
Please note that applications are considered at a first come, first served basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. All applications are only completed when payment is received and a confirmation email is sent to you. Please kindly check your email or spam folder should you not received a email within 48 hours. All applications that are not responded within a week of the application will be forfeited.
A limited amount of scholarships, ranging from partial to full course fees (first no additional scholarships for travel and accommodation) are available at the discretion of the organizing committee. Please kindly indicate in your application about your desire to apply for a scholarship when you register. Deadline of the scholarship application is December 31st, 2015.

Please know that the safety of the participants is SOLELY the responsibility of the participants. The organizers are not liable for anything that happens during the academy. Please make sure you have adequate insurance for the duration of your stay for this academy.

The official accommodation is the Royal City Hotel. There is no requirement to stay at the designated hotel, but you are encouraged to book through us to enjoy the rates we have secured for you at the hotel. Official transport will be provided daily to and fro the Royal City Hotel and College of Music, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. (Twice a day).
