15th Inernational Wind Instruments Workshop – get ready
WORKSHOPS
International Wind Instruments Workshops are organized each year in Szczecinek. They constitute a unique opportunity for young people to meet in such a charming place as Szczecinek in a pleasant summer season and perfect their skills under the supervision of the best instrumentalists and pedagogues. The instructors we invite are excellent musicians who perform all around the world, willing to devote time to teach young talented students.
Wind Instruments Workshops’ goal is to help the participants improve their performance technique by practicing the repertoire suggested by the participants themselves, joining in in instrumental ensembles, as well as performing concerts at the end of workshops. At the same time the young have the chance to discover the beauty of the Drawsko Lake District and integrate during both the classes and recreational activities.
The courses will be held in 3 periods:
- July 16-23, 2015 – saxophone
- July 23 – August 1, 2015 – flute, clarinet
- August 3-9, 2015 – trumpet, trombone, tuba
PSYCHOLOGY OF MUSIC
Psychology of music lecturer will be Anna Nogaj from the Regional Psychology of Music Centre in Bydgoszcz. The lectures will cover:
– handling stage fright
– memorizing music pieces
– mindful practicing and preparing for performances
– boosting competence
Apart from the lectures and classes, each workshop participant will have the opportunity to consult on the issues that bother him/ her on individual basis.
RECREATION
Workshops in Szczecinek are not only work and learning, but also recreation. One day is especially devoted to stay at our beautiful Lake Trzesiecko which is an integral part of the town. There, we will have the opportunity to – among other things – learn to water-ski on the longest water-ski lift in Europe under the watchful eye of experienced instructors. Additionally, we will enjoy a small trip by ship, football games and a bonfire/ barbecue. Nice experiences and fun are guaranteed!
